San Marco - Chorley

April 27, 2023. Granddaughter’s 18th Birthday. Wonderful food, excellent service, the staff very professional and friendly. Recommend highly.

We visited this restaurant for a joint birthday celebration with the family. It was excellent from start to finish! It's not easy to celebrate a 50th birthday and a 7th birthday in one venue! But San Marcos was an excellent choice. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the menu was extensive which led to a really enjoyable evening. On arrival the lack of a children's menu had me a little apprehensive, until they explained that they would simply make a child size portion of anything on the extensive menu. Of course my 7 year old simply wanted pepperoni pizza, which despite not explicitly being on the menu was no trouble. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, the menu had great choice and the bill represented excellent value for money given the quality of food and service. The whole evening was a joy. This was my first visit to San Marco, but it definitely won't be our last. (On a side note, We dined at 5pm until about 7pm which was the perfect time I would say if you're eating with a young one not too busy but still plenty of atmosphere. When we left around 7.30 the restaurant was full, but there was also noticeably more staff on shift so clearly the service levels would remain just as efficient)

Another year, another PAGB Inter Club Print Championships means it's time to show our support for the San Marco Group of restaurants. The food, service, and ambiance are consistently excellent. The tagliatelle, carbonara, and other dishes were all delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed tiramisu, a selection of macarons, and an incredible chocolate and cream creation (which we highly recommend). We finished off the meal with two Americanos and two Macchiatos. Overall, a fantastic dining experience at San Marco. Highly recommend.

The management of this place is shocking. Firstly, the what seems to be the managers of this place scream at their staff infront of customers, which is beyond shocking! Especially since majority of their staff are children. Very clear that they take advantage of their young children staff. I have been in another previous time, and I witnessed an older member of staff shouting and swearing yes swearing at a younger member of staff who just stood there and took it. Which is disgusting behaviour, especially a grown adult swearing. Thought being an adult, they’d know better on how to respect others and take care of their customers and staff, clearly not, the teenagers they have worker there are more mature then the adult staff which is just laughable. The managers are very disrespectful and you can tell they hate their job. I would too if I was in my 50’s working in hospitality, which is seen as a teenager job
