Bidra med feedbackLP’s is set to close and become a purely wholesale. We had heard this place was good so had to make sure we visited before it’s closure. In the backstreets of Chippendale, you will find this neighbourhood restaurant, reminiscent of a German beer hall. It is a huge kitchen and bar encompassing the whole right hand side of the restaurant. The left side has plenty of long communal tables.
Delicious meats sides here at LP’s<br/ <br/ I loved the low lit, intimacy of the restaurant. It felt fancy but also casual at the same time, especially sitting up on the high tables.<br/ <br/ The meat here was a highlight stand out. <br/ The wagyu tartare was so yummy. It was tender but also a bit chewey which I loved. The sauce was acidic which cut through the rich wagyu.<br/ The octopus was a bit on the chewey side but BBQ’d so nicely had a good smokey flavour.<br/ The lamb ribs that were ordered were so beautifully cooked. The meat fell off the bone was so tasty. The sauces it was served with were all very different, from being very zesty to spicy, which gave a good choice of flavour to pair the lamb with.<br/ I loved the pumpkin salad, which added some volume to the meal filled me up.<br/ <br/ The service was really nice gave us some awesome recommendations on dishes to try which was great
Heaven for meat lovers! I visited as a group of 6 including 2 kids and everyone had a great time. We had the croquettes, smoked wagyu and pate for starters and all were polished off. For the mains we ordered the Smoked beef rib, and 1.2kgs of Dry aged rib steak both perfectly done. The photos isn’t to scale but they were huge and definitely enough to share between us. Would definitely revisit.
Absolutely agree with its name quality meats! They serve fantastic homemade cold cuts, sausages, pork belly and ox tongue. It was too dark to take good photos, but the ox tongue was so tender that I had to upload a photo of it. Everything we ordered was delicious and can’t wait to come back again.
Great tongue, beautiful cut, nice texture, very tender, the fennel pork patetta, was excellent as well. Sadly service was a bit mediocre. If field like a great place, great food, go by some kids staff from Hungry Jacks
