Javier's Mexican Grill - Chipley

We just finished eating here at table 15. This was around 1:30. I told the waiter when he asked if we needed to-go boxes that we didn't and we'd be ordering dessert. He came back soon after with the check. I said again that we'd probably be getting a dessert and that we weren't ready for the check. He proceeded to leave the check there and never brought us a menu with desserts. Then shortly after that, he came back to take an emptied plate and just stood there holding it, so I said we're good for now but again that we'd probably be ordering more food. He just stared at me. Pointed at the check and stood there waiting. My husband had to stop eating his meal to pull the card out and pay. We didn't get desserts and he was very pushy and rude the entire visit. We have eaten here plenty and never had an experience like this. Why is it so hard to have a good experience when eating out, especially when paying so much FOR that experience?.. Ridiculous

The food was ok. I sat for 15 minutes before anyone offered to take my drink order.

I'm from Texas and this place has good Mexican food! The steak fajitas were on point. I wish they had more enchilada options but other than that def recommend and will be back.

Food excellent, service was great, atmosphere lacking, noisy, music playing not Mexican or even Spanish. Over all experience was good.
