Victory English Fish And Chips

I always go here when I'm in town! Their Fish is wonderful with a very light batter and the prices are very reasonable!

This has since changed name to Austins fish and chips. Not to be overlooked if your looking for a good feed of fresh fish. Thin crispy coating not weighing down the flavor. Always pipping hot fast friendly service and the prices and portions are incredible. I treat myself once if not twice month.

First and foremost the service here is fantastic. The manager/waitress/hostess takes her job seriously and is a whirlwind wonder to watch. She must run on 78 speed, man does she put on the miles during her shift. Most know the waitress's name as the restaurant has a loyal following who love the "special". She knows her customers well and has a good chat with those who like that and knows instinctively to leave me eat in peace, which is what I'm looking for. She's really good at her job. The restaurant can be fairly full for lunch/dinner service, if you can hold off until 1:30 or 2pm you'll have the place to yourself. I go for the halibut dinner, it's served hot as hades from the kitchen which is exactly the way it should be. Two thinly battered and beautifully cooked halibut fillets with a good portion of really good chips and home-made tarter sauce. Wish I could go more often, they're doing everything right here.

The first time my family and I went we ordered the fish and chips and the fish was very greasy and the batter was very sweet(almost like eating an elephant ear at the fair), will not go back again

Austin Fish and Chips was the most authentic fish and chips around with an amazing light batter and very tasty fish. The server was so friendly, fun and polite and the atmosphere was wonderful. C-lovers has competition :)
