Bidra med feedbackTo start with, the food is good, lovely presented, friendly waiters, who were very generous with the wine with us. Why only three stars? This is for disappointing expectations. They offer a choice of “emotional menus” on their web-page, where they promise a combination of music and poetry to accompany a thematic set menu with a special wine selection (no idea how they would realise that, but it was part of the attraction to find out). As we had a romantic occasion, I was looking forward to a special dinner, and pre-booked one of their menus (citing the occasion). For this menu, they offered “Flamenco. Andalucia. Deseo de Garcia Lorca.” Well. There was no flamenco, but piped music from the 60s type Beatles, no poems, no Garcia Lorca. Just a normal set menu, with one type of wine, nothing especially emotional or romantic about it. Nothing bad, either (apart from that it was not possible to order a digestive after dinner, for some reason), but we could have had that type of dinner in many other restaurants, for less money and a sea view. Then, the bill arrived. It was a “cuenta provisional”. All right, we are not employed by the Spanish tax authorities, but still. It felt a bit shoddy [hidden link]

Upscale Tuna restaurant at the Royal Hideaway hotel in Novo Sancti Petri. A special experience. Irregular opening times.
