Toons Grill - Chicago

Overall: A great local neighborhood spot for drinks and dive vibes. The good: Plenty of TVs, dive-y vibe, shuffleboard, good music, good taps, average prices. Some outdoor seating (not a ton), and close to plenty of Southport restaurants. I've only had food once there and it was years ago, but I remember it being good. Staff is friendly too! Perfect place for a rec league bar (which is how I first found it), and/or to watch sports. The not so good: Not much. You'll either love it or hate it, and most people I know love it.

Best little bar in the neighborhood. Great chili. Ajay is awesome...so attentive and friendly even when so busy after a Cubs game.

Rather be here then get a sharp stick in the nethers. Good people. Good place. Happy as hell to give them my dough.

Super friendly staff with good alternative music in the background but not so loud that you cannot converse with those around you. The front is a bar and the back room has the standard bar games including darts and shuffleboard.

Stopped in night with the family for dinner after Zoo Lights. Great meal. The wings, burgers and pulled turkey were on point. The only downside is the music volume. Get it if it is crowded, but it was pretty empty, made it hard to have a conversation. We will be back when in the neighborhood!
