The Other Side - Chicago

If you are new to Chicago and need a bar to make friends, this is the one. They have great wings, two nights of karaoke and trivia on Tuesdays. The staff is the absolute best and they make sure to remember you when you come back as long as you're respectful. I love this place and happy to say I've built something of a community here. Lastly it's a great spot if you're not drinking as they bartenders are happy to whip up non alcoholic mocktails!

Pasta Bowl is a chain Italian restaurant with multiple locations in various cities, including Chicago-Wicker Park. It is a popular local restaurant that attracts friends, families, and couples who are looking for a not-too-upscale pasta bar. Starting with parking options, the restaurant is located on a busy Wicker Park Street and would have limited paid-street parking on weekends, but free on Sundays. The restaurant is medium-sized, cute, and cozy but also busy owing to its neighborhood popularity; however, you would be able to get seated on a weekday without any reservations, but likely not on a weekend. The ambiance of the location is very casual with people coming to hang out with their friends and families. For the food, we started with a bruschetta appetizer which was a good quantity and quality for only $6, highly recommend it. It was nothing special but was fresh and tasted good. For the entrée, I got the Gnocchi Rosemary Gorgonzola which was a large quantity that lasted me 2 meals. The pasta was cooked al dente and the gorgonzola cream sauce was extremely rich, flavorful, cheesy. So, if you are a big parmesan cheese fan, this dish would be it for you. It did come with a side of 2 bread pieces and overall, I would get this entrée again. The service is fast and friendly, with the waiter having a good understanding of the menu. Overall, I would 100% return to fulfill my pasta craving as the food is pretty good, not mind-blowing, and fairly prized.

I love the vibe of this place. They have comfy booth seating and the chefs prepare your food in an open kitchen. Also, the Chicken Parmesan is outstanding. Casual and tasty. Portions are large!

Consistently delicious. It's not your fancy Italian dining experience but it goes toe to toe with any pasta place. I ate here pretty often due to their ability to constantly deliver good food and great service. Love it.

This place is awesome and you should go or have it delivered!! Let me tell you why...... so when you think Itallian food, what is it that does it for you? Is it pasta? Is it the sauce? Is it the bread with the olive oil? Is it about walking in and smelling how hours of love in-front of a stove can perfume 4 walls?!? Cause if you're into any of those, or like me and want it all... PASTA BOWL is your spot!I've had the Chicken Parmigiana which was solid and and the Salmon Fettuccine which was delicious! However if you're taste buds are looking for some extra flavor and you're good with cream sauces.... YOU MUST TRY THE ROSEMARRY GNNOCHI with Chicken!! YUMM!!Food is made with fresh ingredients, prices won't break the bank and the service is excellent! Great local spot that I can't recommend enough! Enjoy!
