The Glunz Tavern - Chicago

Service was slow, but nice staff. Food was not great, and at times cold. Maybe only stop here for a cold beer.

Oh they burned my burger and the bun.....and my wife's. All I had in my mouth was char. It was rather small compared to my impression after viewing photos online. Plus, horrible selection of German bears. Otherwise, staff was friendly and accommodating. Wont go back.

Wiener schnitzel was better than what I had in Frankfurt. Good draft beer selection at reasonable price. Nice classic historic look interior. Definitely will go back.

Great food, service, and ambience in the neighborhood, German orientation.

When we arrived at the restaurant it was booked for 1 company. We could not get in! The owner said she tried to call us but we never received a call or an email. She was forgotten to block the date in the open table reservation system. We walked for 40 minutes to arrive at the restaurant. The owner was so kind to give us a voucher of 50 dollar but the next day our trip ended so we could not come back. We tried to find another restaurant in the neighbourhood but these were all fully booked. Not a nice experiene with this restaurant! We ended eating a hamburger at a very noisy establishment.
