Bidra med feedbackA year ago from today, for the first time I visited such an amazing and obvious place in Illinois as Terzo Piano. My girlfriend and I were delighted with the food, wine and view! It was a big surprise for my birthday! The location is amazing, great interior, with huge windows and great views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago downtown skyline. We had octopus (one of their most famous dishes) and soup, both were lovely and just as tasty as they looked. We also took desserts very well balanced flavors. Today We ordered a pizza... I look forward to reopening!!
Went early on a Friday for lunch, so that we could head to the Warhol exhibit at the AIC before it closed. My companion noted how many of the Restaurant Week items had beans in them, so we ordered off the usual menu. I had the Crispy Brussel Sprouts $13 which had to have been shaved on a machine, they were so thinly sliced. I loved the char and the cheese, and it was a huge portion, although it was a bit salty for me. To counter that, I had the Debbie Harry, $10+ a crazy Warhol-inspired dessert that was a chocolate malt not sweet enough! topped with banana-flavored cotton candy, with a side of fries. I'd already reached my sodium limit, so I gave the fries to my friend, along with the chipotle mayo that came to dip my sprouts in.
There's no way this restaurant received star from Michelin. Not even guide. Soup was just ok, spaghetti Neri was a disaster. It was fishy, and even spaghetti itself wasnt cooked right. One of the worst dish I had. Well it's a museum restaurant. But really, don't dine
Many don't even realize this restaurant is in the Art Institute. A bit pricey, but worth it. Not recommended if you're in a hurry. This restaurant gives visitors an opportunity to relax, enjoy good food at a nice pace while surrounded by great views of the city.
I wish I could be more positive, but the food on the Valentine's day 5 course menu was simply not good. Perhaps the regular menu is better, I hope?
