Bidra med feedbackUPDATE 2023: I had a chance to go back and it seems since the pandemic lots have changed. The rice no longer has veggies, it's good just not as good and no longer has the wow factor. The enchiladas were good but again missing the wow factor. They also no longer offer chips and salsa for free. If you have kiddos they do not have kids meals. Original: I was born and raised in Arizona on the Mexican boarder so I am picky when it comes to this type of food. Is it like Senora Mexico's or Arizonas version of mexican food...not 100% but I love the enchiladas, beans, and rice. I think their salsa is just straight pepper, not at all what I am used to; I am used to more flavor in the salsa. I wish the toritallas were homemade, but they use chicagos tortilla factory for their choice so its good just not the same as homemade. So if you want good food, come here.
My partner and I decided to check out Susupuato on a Monday evening, after moving to the neighborhood a few weeks ago. It’s been on our list to try, and we can believe we didn’t try it even sooner! We had an amazing dinner, and left feeling so happy and full! We both had a traditional margarita (extremely fresh, and strong! and had the Enchiladas Suizas and Chicken Burrito dinner. The food was outstanding, the service was quick and impeccable, and our waiter was lovely! We will definitely be back, it will certainly become one of our go to places!
Came here for Cinco de Mayo, got margaritas and nachos and also ended up getting a free tequila shot! The coconut margarita was delicious and something I've never seen on a menu before, and the staff was very attentive.Food: 5/5
My friend just moved into Chicago's Edgewater and there are lots of great little neighborhood restaurants, it was a great surprise to find great Mexican here! We had the salsas and guacamole with chips to start, all freshly made and delicious. Our mains were chicken enchiladas de mole and chile relleno, which were both fantastic as were the margaritas.
My friend just moved into Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood and looking for nearby Mexican food, we hit on Susupuato! Their chicken enchiladas de mole were excellent, after starting out with their salsa (red green) and guacamole with chips packages. Call direct, jog over and back, it was so convenient and so grateful for her new location and a new restaurant that can finally stand in for That Little Mexican Cafe in Evanston, that we loved and miss. See you again soon, Susupuato!
