Staropolska - Chicago

Update: we came back for the rest of the menu, and I must say nothing disappointed. the calfball is to die. my first bite was like a party in my mouth. that's a must. the pierogi is also quite good. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— we had no more Polish foods for a whole past, while we were watching the other day, remembering the quality of cartoupeered, and stuffed. So we stopped by a Sunday night to fix ourselves. we have Polish foods both in the states and in Europe, for us, this place is the true meaning of Polish comfort food. it is far away from the tasty gourmet, because it is not meant to simple ingredients and simple taste with great value. and yes, some of the dishes can easily be made with a microshaft, but this is not the point of eating no? the food came fast as it wasn't busy, the sausages were great with wobble and the potato pancakes were just extraordinary, I should say it's probably the best I ever tasted. the bark stew was ok, delicate bark meat, especially love the dumplings. the filled cabbage was great, the rice and the meat were boiled exactly right, and the sauce compliments. the scavenger was the tenderest thing I tried, and it was roasted to perfection. but I was hoping there was a little more taste in the flesh. about all, great place, good service, great value will certainly come again for the pierogi and the duck!

The atmosphere was wonderful and the way they have decorated their decorations is also beautiful. I polish myself and honestly said eating was quite good, we had the special for two who was $34 and it was a big teller eating. including kielbasa, pierogi, gulasz, kartoffel and pancakes! it was almost too much for two! we also had the garnel appetizer and zucchini pancakes that were amazing! 10/10 recommend

Did not have an authentic political food for a dae, my man took me to staropolska for dinner and it was just nice! Our waitress was super nice, loved to hear how young people can speak beautifully in their mother tongue! that was delicious. oh, the suppen were incredible, especially żurek! żubrówka

Have been sitting here for the fourth time and just loved everything! we had many appetizers and salads. the filled cauliflower was also amazing. our waitress was efficient and professional. next time will return to chicago.

Loved this restaurant! Cute decor, super nice service. The food was so yummy, and such big portions. We got the shared platter which was delicious and a good variety of food. My husband got the duck and it was yummy! Also recommend the tomato soup cabbage rolls. Will def be back!!
