Sabroso! Mexican Grill - Chicago

The burritos were unappetizing, with the carne asada lacking meat. However, the shrimp burrito was packed with shrimp. The fried dough dessert was the standout, absolutely delicious!

I have passed by this restaurant many times without realizing what a hidden gem it is. We decided to stop in for dinner on a Tuesday night and found that it was not very busy for dine-in service, but they were doing a steady takeout business. Complimentary chips and salsa were provided for dine-in customers and the restaurant is BYOB. The server even brought us glasses with salted rims and limes for the margarita we brought in. We also ordered a side of guacamole to go with our chips and it was incredibly fresh. For my main course, I chose the chicken fajitas and they were absolutely delicious. They were some of the best fajitas I have ever had, and the portion size was very generous so I had leftovers. My fiancé ordered the California burrito, which was the largest burrito I have ever seen. He couldn't stop raving about how good it was. The service was outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

We decided to try out Sabroso for my fiancé's birthday dinner after reading Kate's recommendation on Yelp Chicago. Our experience at Sabroso was fantastic from start to finish, and we were very impressed with Kate's recommendation! The food was plentiful, delicious, and fresh. The service was attentive and very friendly, making us feel like we were dining with family. The California burrito I ordered was enormous, putting Chipotle to shame. My fiancé opted for the fajitas and they were also excellent. The salsa was incredibly fresh and the habanero had just the right amount of heat. To our surprise, our waiter brought us complimentary doughnuts at the end of the meal, even though he didn't know it was my fiancé's birthday. The service was truly exceptional! Another great aspect of Sabroso is that they are BYOB. We brought a premade margarita from Costco and they even provided us with glasses rimmed with salt. I highly recommend checking out Sabroso – you won't be disappointed, and you certainly won't leave hungry!

Amazing food and service when you dine in! Go to Mexican in the neighborhood. Only reason I give three stars is because of the delivery driver there. Had clear instructions on how to deliver and get into my building . He called me 3 times very angry, I answered right away. (DoorDash said it was still preparing my food and not out yet they use their own delivery drivers at their restaurant). He finally got to my door and was KICKING hard it until I answered. Thought he damaged my door. Clear instructions to leave it at the door as well. Food was still good but will probably never get delivery again from them.

Outstanding food. It tastes homemade and fresh. The staff treated us like family and answered all of our questions.
