Bidra med feedbackIncredibly friendly bartender, knowledgeable about German beer and German food (not that he was quizzed or anything). Jägerschnitzel was incredible, with a side dish that took me by (pleasant) suprise. Go here and experience it for yourself. I recommend going when it is cold outside for maximum coziness.
Hate to say it but it’s definitely a locals preferred kind of bar. The regulars got served twice next to me while I waited to to close out for about 20 minutes. Also, no prices for beers on the menu which is annoying but I come for the atmosphere and .5l pours.
We sat on the patio which is so nice! It has so much space and various table sizes. I ordered the sausage dinner with one bratwurst and one Sheboygan. Both were delicious! I also loved the potato salad it came with. It's the best potato salad I've had in my life. It's a different style than what I'm used to but much better.
Just great memories of Resi's, going all the way back to my first visit in 68. Mein Opa would pull me in my wagon while he'd do his sunday pub crawl to all the German bars that populated the area. We'd always end up at Resi's. I'd sit on the bar eating peanuts and hardboiled eggs, sipping on a ginger ale listening to the older men discussing how they lost the war. It was fascinating. Later, I'd hang out there as well. Great beer selection, and food was always above average. Sad so many of these neighborhood locales are gone. Glad Resi's is still doing their thing!
They were out of at least 50% of what was on both the food and beer menus. Our server couldn't keep anything straight and brought us the wrong food. The issue was corrected, but after striking out multiple times with ordering, it was extra frustrating.
