Punky's Pizza Pasta - Chicago

Visiting Chicago, staying literally 100 feet away from this place. After travelling all day I thought I'd pick something up from here and take it out. No energy for much else. I went into the place, which was empty barring 2 customers, and stood at thecounter. I was ignored. No problem, people can be busy. Server looks at me, up and down, looks away. Walks from behind thecounter and out to the soda machine. Back and forth a few times, looking me up and down but never saying a word. Noacknowledgement from anyone behind the counter either. After a few minutes, I left. I can safely say this is as badly as I'vebeen treated anywhere I've travelled, or anywhere at home (Ireland). The absolute ignorance was astonishing. Not so much as aword said, just a few dirty looks as I was passed by. For the record, I was in no way looking out of the ordinary (other thanmaybe a little tired from the travel), or disheveled etc It gets 1 star because it won't let me give it zero. I'd give it aminus score if I could. Disgraceful, I've never been treated so poorly before. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered the breaded steak sandwich and Old Neighborhood pizza. Pizza was great! The breaded steak had good flavor, but definitely needed more sauce. Would order both again and just ask for extra sauce on the sandwich.

Nice location. Parking not the best. Calabrese salad and pot roast was delicious. Nice old family neighborhood style restaurant.

Been going here for years with my girlfriend. Never a bad time. For whatever reason, we've never ordered a pizza from there, just sandwiches and soups, which are great

My pot roast sandwich is huge and delicious with lots of meat. The food came very fast. A especially sweet young lady there brought extra napkin and plates for kids with a smile. Street parking is easy.
