Miku Sushi - Chicago

We went during happy hour and while I'm not a seafood person, my friend loved it. I had a veggie tempura tofu something something, and it was pretty great (considering I don't even like tofu lol). Great lemon drop martini! Very reasonable happy hour prices.Food: 5/5

Though I am not a huge sushi fan, many of my friends are and I've been to Miku Sushi many times. This is because the food is consistently fresh, the service is always prompt and welcoming, and the environment elegant and comfortable. I really like the bento box of tempura shrimp and vegetables. Any of the tempura dishes are mouth watering and very ample. This goes for the lemon chicken as well. There seems to be a fairly wide range of bar stock from which to choose and the portions are surprisingly generous. There are a few tables out front along the sidewalk for outdoor dining. Nothing fancy but certainly accommodating if one prefers open air. In addition to the dinner menu, there are lunch hours every day such a plus along the busy Lincoln Square main drag.

Creative menu with a solid amount of options for people that can’t/don’t eat seafood. We got the avocado, veggie Godzilla, and California maki; spicy miso soup; and pork belly chips. The maki were okay, soup was good, and the pork belly chips in particular were amazing — perfectly battered, crispy, and went perfectly with the homemade spicy mayo.No complaints on service or time spent waiting for food.Prices on maki are way more worth it if you go before 6pm.

The food is excellent. Seriously the best sushi menu around. The waitress left much to be desired… like our food and drinks.

I've dined at this place for more than 5 years. I've dined alone, with co workers, with children. Recently had the worst service ever. Server did not want to work I assumed. Server did not check in to see if my daughter and I needed anything. I had to ask several times for plate and etc. Water was not refilled. I wondered if the server was new because this was a shock. I left no tip for bad service. The sever told me since I did not leave a tip, next time I should get take out. Rude! Management apologized and went on went her day. As a paying customer, this was not how this should have been handled. I will not return.
