Mi Fogata - Chicago

Had the steak fajitas they were pretty good. Margaritas are delicious! I love a good margarita!

Food is good they don?t cook the food with high amounts of fat like other places to give it that extra flavor but it?s actually authentic Mexican homemade quality food that you don?t find anywhere else. I only tried the weekend small buffet but it was goodand cheap. The place actually looks great inside too but is usually empty but it?s a great place to get homemade quality food asthe name of the restaurant suggests ?mi fogata? and my family actually loved it and the service was great. I definitelyrecommend it and will keep coming from now on at least for the tiny buffet available on weekends with enchiladas, mole, pocole,rice, beans, and few more options of food ready in the buffet.

The food was 4 out of 10. The mole was very bitter and hideous. The rice had good flavor but was very wet. The beans also had great flavor but very thick and hard to swallow. The burrito was soggy from the overwhelming food liquid. The asada was very dryand seemed old. I see alot of good and bad comments about the place However if they were consistant with a fresh experience toevery customer then Would receive better feedback. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. There?s alot more places thatmaintain quality and freshness

We hosted my grandparents' birthday party here. The service and food were both impeccable. the owner kept coming in to check in on us. It was a welcoming experience. It was nice to have a personal touch of hospitality. she and her staff catered to our veryneeds, which helped run everything else at the party extremely smooth. the restaurant itself was immaculate. the meat wasperfectly seasoned and tender. will definitely be going back!
