Masa Azul - Chicago

We love this place! We stumbled upon this place, right before shelter in place happened, and were blown away by the delicious cocktails and the food. We love that they make their own tortillas and they are so unique from any other Mexican restaurant in the city that we have been to. We kept ordering taco after taco because we kept wanting to try all their different combinations. The owner, you can tell really cares too, since he kept ensuring the place was clean and that his patrons were happy. We just recently got take-out for our parents to try, since they love authentic Mexican food, and they were thoroughly impressed as well with the quality. There was a bit of a mix-up with the pick-up order; but the owner went above and beyond to contact us to apologize for the mix-up. We love this gem of a place and will continue to keep ordering from them any time we are looking for a taco fix!

Gourmet tacos. Handmade tortillas. Excellent prices.

The tortillas are delicious. Notably better than most other places I've been in the neighborhood. They also have a great cocktail selection. Lots of mezcal drinks. Nice, cozy atmosphere

I have only been here one time, but was treated like family. The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly, and take amazing care of customers. The food is absolutely incredible. Their selection for drinks is remarkable, and extremely creative make sure you try some of the spicy cocktails, truly adds a whole new level to what you thought was possible from a drink.

Great place to get very unique tacos on freshly made thick corn tortillas. The atmosphere is laid-back yet classy, and they have some interesting mixed drinks as well.
