Bidra med feedbackThis is the restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Chicago Marriott hotel. It's clean and has a nice atmosphere. We ate there 3 times during our stay, and all three times we waited 30-40 minutes to get our food after we placed our orders, and it wasn't crowded any of the 3 times. The food offering was okay, but nothing special. The manager was also extremely rude about our group getting a table to order some coffee and sit and talk for 30 minutes before our other guests arrived for breakfast. She told me the restaurant wasn't a meeting room. The next morning when I checked in for another breakfast with a client she asked me if we were just having coffee or if we were going to be ordering breakfast in a snippy tone. I was really taken aback. This is not what I have experienced at other Marriott restaurants.
The steak and roasted vegetables were delicious. The noise level was a little higher than I would prefer
Omg what a secret garden! The locally (some, rooftop! sourced produce tastes like no other! Very expertly crafted recipes! It was very quiet on a Friday night and should have been packed! Not a typical hotel restaurant- if I was local I would go often!
The way the OpenTable app presented this restaurant, I had no idea it was simply the main restaurant at the Marriott on Michigan Avenue. They screwed up two of our orders and when I flagged down our waitress to notify her of the mistakes her response was OK and then she disappeared for 20 minutes. We just ate it anyway since the staff was nowhere to be found to swap out our meals or offer other solutions. She finally came back and then offered to remake the two mistakes but we had already completed our breakfast. Lousy service, overpriced, generic hotel food and no apology offered. This was pretty awful all around!
The food was great! I would especially recommend the brussels sprouts, house made chips, and the scallops with chorizo.
