Bidra med feedbackFriendship is not your every day Chinese cuisine. My son came in from NY and had a taste for Chinese food. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a host of Buddha figurines. After getting our drinks, we started w Angry Long Beans Potstickers. Very tasty appetizers. For dinner, we ordered Star Anise Short Ribs, Phoenix Chicken Walnut Shrimp. We found each dish to have unique flavors different from other Asian restaurants. My son was quite impressed w the presentation and special touches for each dish. That says a lot for someone who dines at sophisticated New York eateries. We plan on coming back to sample other dishes when my son returns.
I have been going to friendship since before it was remodeled and they served different menu. Honestly it is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Chicago and I don't mind paying what they charge because it's quality over quantity! At this day and age if you wanna go out expect to pay what you pay or else go home and cook and stop crying how much you paying to eat out! Anyways, last time i was there was for a friend's birthday and we had so much food and drinks and everything was delicious! I've also had take out and never disappointed.
Great food. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it if you live up north, and so far from Chinatown.
Really authentic Chinese food. Better than Chinatown. The dim sum was outstanding, service spectacular and overall experience superb. Really glad to have visited. Parking was challenging but the food made up for it.
This was my first time here, and I loved it so much I'm already planning my return to try more dishes! The sauces are amazing! The food is beautifully served. The service was great! The owner, Alan, was very kind and took time to say hello and make recommendations. I was so excited about the food that I forgot to take pics of all of it. I even like the music they were playing. It's my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago.
