If you'd like to cut legs, but the owner came to our table and crisp them for us. Another scissors would have preferred to cut legs, or did this in the kitchen. Very surprised how few tables were occupied on Saturday night. Enjoy the music and even danced when nobody was around us. Owner composed desert after learning it was our first date. Place reminded me of Bob Chins, just a lot less crowded. Prices are certainly less than Shaw's or Nicks or Hugo Frog. This place needs business and now is the time to check it!
They don't know if it was too early or that it was halloween or that it was raining, but this place was really quiet; it was nice that we had a long overdue talk and the volume was pleasantly low. but displaced king always scrape a good meal on north-half could be more business on north milwaukee. Look at them!
On our 12-year-old grandson's request, we visited this restaurant for our anniversary celebration. I ordered the lobster, but was initially served the wrong dish. The second one was properly boiled, but covered in butter which I am not a fan of with lobster. The service was satisfactory, with a very polite waiter. The atmosphere was dark and dingy, claiming to be romantic. Parking was difficult to find. Overall, we had a fun time!
The ambiance and decor could use some improvement, but I must say that the service and food were excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were delicious. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying.
I have been a patron of King Crab for two decades. I was disappointed when they closed their location on Halstead, but I am pleased with their new location. They have a wonderful outdoor space that is perfect for enjoying summer evenings. The food at King Crab lives up to their reputation, and I had a taste of almost everything on the menu. However, I found the service to be slow on both of my visits, even though there were not many customers in the restaurant. We would have ordered more if our waitress had been more attentive. In fact, we had to ask the owner for a glass of wine because our server was not around. I will give King Crab another chance and hope for better service next time.
