Bidra med feedbackNot good. The child they had at the front welcoming guests was unprepared for the job. We came early after flying in, place mostly empty, but simple requests (like having a drink at the Empty bar before taking our table) could not be accommodated. Generally unhappy appearing and unmotivated staff.
Food was delicious. Service was a let down the night we visited. It happens, but kinda agitating nonetheless.
We sat at the bar but were treated with impeccable service all the same. Everything from the drinks and appetizers to the entrees were on point! The milk bread, burrata, and pork ribs were some of our favorites. Cozy ambiance as well. Will definitely come back!
The pasta was delicious, but the sea bass fry and cocktails were average. We spent $160 on two cocktails ($18 each), one pasta dish and one whole sea bass fry with fried rice. We were not given a table because we did not have a reservation, despite there being many empty tables. We had to sit at the bar to eat our food, which was disappointing. It's not worth spending that much money. If you go, make sure to reserve a table in advance. This restaurant is not ideal for taking pictures.
We visited Cherry Circle Room located in the Chicago Athletic Hotel for their New Year’s Eve party and had such a fun time. Friendly and relaxed service in stylish, swanky surrounds. Loved both of the cocktails I tried (the Mount Pelée and the Polynesian Pick Me Up) and my husband was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the beer selection. The meal consisted of several stations for unlimited blinis, a seafood bar, pasta, steak and sides, and dessert. My husband loved his filet mignon steak and I really enjoyed the truffled pasta and the steak sides: creamy skin on mashed potatoes and charred brussel sprouts. The dessert bar (chocolate fondue, brownies, cookies, macarons) was fun and tasty too. It wasn’t cheap (over $500 for 2 people) but we really enjoyed ending the year in this sophisticated and intimate venue.
