Pern's - Chiang Mai

Perns is one of my favorite Hunts in Chiang Mai. Always a friendly greeting upon arrival by the owners and employees. I like the consistently high standard of food from the menu, ranging from tapas to one of the best steaks in the city. Winning beer and Guinness is a big bonus. will be coming back soon

I regularly come to Perns as one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood. I love the wall paintings and the tasteful live music that creates a really beautiful atmosphere. My favourite is the Sirloin and the Rib-Augensteak, very strong and good beef that is so difficult to find in Chiang mai. Absolutely the best steaks with a delicious pepper sauce and grilled to perfection. British Brian, the cartridge is such a warm and nurturing host, I always feel so welcome and at hone in his company and care of the extraordinary staff espescially the beautiful and charming woman Mickey.

Great food. Prices are a little on the higher side. But they have a good variety of starters for 89 baht. Wednesday is half price house wine (75 baht). Polite, friendly staff and good ambience.

I came away a bit disappointed. Nice bar area pleasant place for a catch-up with friends. The food however was a let-down. The roasted chicken was bland, dry and covered with a dark green chutney-like sauce that was not in the description and did not pair well. Portions were light considering the price. I can not say that my dish was a good value. I will give it another as there are pleanty of Australian steaks to try and service was efficient and friendly.

I ordered lemon chicken for takeout as it was supposed to be char grilled, and even before placing the order i confirmed if it will be char grilled and i was ensured it will be. i waited half an hour for it to be prepared but to my dissappointment it turned out to be tasteless boiled chicken. Not only they lie but they also try to make a fool out of you , wont recommend this place...just below ediable food.
