Bidra med feedbackIf you are ever in the Chester, Virginia area, you would do disservice by not eating at Brock's. The service was impeccable, the Barbecue Sampler Platter was AMAZING! The grill sauce was so good I bought a bottle. The owner took the liveliness of the day only time to speak with our group, and that spoke volume with the group.
I had the Flounder. It was the best I had in YEARS! I couldn't eat anything, even though I tried hard. The staff was fabulous, friendly and fast. We'll be back.
In my never-ending Tuesday quest to find the best buffet... we find this spot. Brock’s BBQ took us 30 minutes to reach from the Airport. The food was good. Fresh but very slow coming out. The beans tasted unseasoned and straight out of a can. The greens very good. The corn was ok. The mash potatoes were average. The salad bar was very simple. The meat we’ll let me tell you. The chicken was to die for. I try to stay away from fried foods but the seasoning on the chicken and fried livers kept pulling me back in. I LOVED it!!! The BBQ was pretty smoky and tasty. The pulled pork was more of a shredded pork and was very good because it wasn’t stringy. Almost like chopped BBQ. Either way those where my favorite dishes. The reason this location lost their stars. My server was very nice and friendly. So friendly that she hand picked my lemons and held them in the cup with her fingers on top of the lemons flesh so they do not fall. Gross!!!
Pages were better than the meat, but as Texan I will be hard on the Briske. It didn't seem to be freshly cooked. Very evenly cut with grillmark added. The ribs were better than the beads and the sides were all big. The atmosphere was beautiful, the only reason I left 4 stars because of the brisket. The prices are especially good for the buffet
Brock has been there for a long time, and with his latest facelift it is still strong. The buffet is delicious and is a mainstay in this BBQ sky! Service is the highest rate and do not forget to save space for the peach cabin!!
