Timber House Lodge & Restaurant

Went here for the first time last night booked reservations online. It was hopping for a Saturday night and we've been trying to try this place for a while since it's so busy in the summer months we finally got in. Great mountain charm location in Chester with a bar, brewery restaurant, with recent updates and a large outdoor area with corn hole and a lot of seating., I had the shrimp scampi and my husband had the Caesar salad and clam Chowder. The service was exceptional at the bar area and the Caesar salad was fresh and scampi dish was flavorful and both were good sized. The soup wasn't great , tasted out of the can and not super fresh, the only reason for the 4 star review. Their drink options were plentiful, their margarita was excellent and good wine and beer choices. We saw many patrons ordering burgers and steaks and believe those were the stars of the show here , can't wait to try more entrees., The lemon meringue dessert was amazing and the perfect ending to the meal.

I've been here twice now and both times the food has been excellent as well as the service and the drinks. I can't think of a complaint other than they couldn't sell me a bottle of their bourbon. This is the best place to eat within a 45 minute drive.

We have lived in the Chester/ Lake Almanor area for over 20 years. We went to Timber House for a Date Night . We were greeted upon arrival and seated within minutes. Our waitress brought us water and was very friendly and attentive. Our drinks and food came very quickly. Both were very good. Our waitress kept checking on us throughout our meal. This was probably the best service we have had anywhere in the basin in 20 years. We would go there again. Thanks for making it a very pleasant experience.

We got into town pretty late and were so happy this restaurant was right across from where we were staying, not that the town is super big. The restaurant isn't large but just the right size and great ambiance. It seemed it was renovated and looked great. I ordered a 6oz Filet Mignon, and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well! My husband had the house wedge, which had a little bit too much blue cheese dressing, and the Grilled Salmon. He really liked both and thought the salmon was grilled very well. The food was filling and tasted very good! We loved the overall feel of the restaurant, the outdoor/log cabin look to it, and the wait staff was very friendly.

So the first time we visited this restaurant we were at happy hour. Tried there beer flight, great beer. Had several appetizers, curds, shrimp. Very good. Went next on a Saturday to have dinner. Best dinner in town. I've been to almost all of the restaurants and this is the best. Food was amazing. Chicken was delicious. I had the lemon dessert light and fluffy so very good. Waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place. Relax and don't be in a hurry great atmosphere.
