We have visited this restaurant several times. They always have options on the menu that are specifically identified for vegans. The staff are knowledgeable about vegan needs and will automatically bring a variety of vegetables for vegans. The service and atmosphere are both excellent. The prices are very affordable. The website even provides a daily menu so vegans and vegetarians can see what options are available.
Chez Joules offers a truly delectable dining experience and the atmosphere was lively when we dined there, creating a fantastic mood. It is rare to find a French restaurant that caters to vegans, but Chez Joules does just that. The menu includes vegan starters, main courses, and multiple dessert options, in addition to vegetarian dishes. The menu is clearly labeled with dietary restrictions such as vegetarian (ve), vegan (ve), and gluten-free (gf) making it easy to navigate. When informing the friendly staff that you are vegan, they ensure that any accompaniments or sides do not contain honey, cheese, cream, etc. The vegan options are delicious and worth a visit.
I recently discovered Happy Cow thanks to Chez Jules, and I'm so happy I did! The dining experience was divine, especially for those looking for a great culinary experience. I don't have much knowledge about French cuisine, but I found the food at this restaurant to be incredibly delicious. I started with a layered dish of roasted carrots, courgette, and aubergine topped with a tasty basil dressing. It was simple but oh so tasty! For dessert, I indulged in a chocolate cake with a berry compote that was out of this world, with a fudge-like texture. Both dishes were luxurious, and I was impressed by the effort put into the vegan options. Even my non-vegan date preferred my choices over their own! I would definitely recommend this restaurant 100%. Additionally, the prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants.
This is a great place for vegans in a city where there is no vegetarian restaurant. as a previous review has noticed, the restaurant has now always a vegan starter, main course and dessert (a delicious chocolate torte – there is also obstsalat) on the menu, in addition to a vegetarian option. However, vegans need to be careful for the pan of the vegetables that accompany the main course. the carrots are cooked in honey, so make sure they are vegan for their sweet. the staff is friendly and flexible and eating is good. there is wheelchair access, although this includes to go the back of the restaurant and enter through a fire door, plus an accessible toilet.
