Barton Rouge Indian - Chester

Very nice friendly staff who like to help. It was a very busy August Bank as you can imagine, but we were immediately taken to our table drinks and Papadoom order and served straight, but it took us (2 adults and 4 children) to make our thoughts what to order as much as it seemed to choose and they all seemed beautiful. We left us for onions bhaji, lamb hacks, king prawn starter and Murgh tikka for appetizers and the children torn off the lamb hacks and king prawn as they had not eaten for a few days on on on on onion bhaji were really nice as giving 2 big bhaji they gave 4 small, which were nice and crispy (we have not made pictures of appetizers as I said For drinking we ordered 2 pints of coke, 2 pints of lemonade and 2 aperitifs and to be honest, the lemonade and coke were flat, but when we ordered it later (they seemed busy, so it did not mention it) they were ok. We loved it so much that we brought the left home with us. To finish the night, they gave us very hot towels and signature mint chocolate.

Fantastic restaurant. Great service, good food. We booked in advance as we knew it was very busy on a Saturday. Definitely worth a visit. Added a photo of nannn as it is not enough on here

Delicious Indian food, good service and fair prices. Amazing “family-sized” breads!

Probably one of the best curries we have had. Very busy but the service was superb and the waiters/waitresses were cheerful, helpful and courteous. They deserve a bonus for their lovely manner. We will be booking to return there again asap.

First time we visited this place, we loved it 6 stars out of 5 easily. So much so, we kept going back. The chutneys are something else, especially the green one. The last few times we have been we were slightly disappointed. Last night, we ordered cokes and they were flat. I said politely that the coke was flat, only to be contradicted by the waiter that he had opened a fresh bottle and it couldn’t be cue a small argument as I wasn’t having that! . My son’s was sparkling, mine and my daughters were flat and mine was probably from the older bottle. They did take it back, but after an uncomfortable exchange remember, the customer is right and don’t argue with them!! (Basic customer service). The other disappointment was my partners honey chicken which had some terrible cuts of chicken (with strands of hard sinew). Overall, the curry and food was amazing and generally the waiting staff were friendly. It is worth checking out the chefs specials and Himalayan dishes as that is where the magic is! Garlic Nan is to die for as well!! They are always nice, but I want my restaurants to be consistent! This place could be perfect by elevating all the waiting staff to the standards of the rest of the team. We still regard this as a fab place and we will return, but it ranked down slightly on our list of favourite places after last night, but overall is a great place to visit.
