Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant offers a wide variety of sandwiches. We tried the hot roast sandwiches and found them to be excellent, delicious, and generous in portion size. We also had some massive toasted sandwiches in the cafe.
I have visited the new restaurant branch multiple times since it opened, and I must say I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews. The women working behind the counter always provide excellent customer service, even in a busy setting. I have never made the mistake of taking the wrong order, but if I did, I wouldn't blame the staff for my own error. The food is consistently fresh and served with a friendly smile.
The service and setup for payment at this restaurant were shocking. I ordered a sausage roll and two cakes at the counter by the entrance, but had to pay at the opposite side where the staff took my money without saying please or thank you. Then I had to try to find my bags among other customers' purchases. A more competent and professional staff would bring the bags to the till and hand them to the customer after payment. Unfortunately, I ended up with only two items in my bags when I got home. When I called to complain, the assistant manager named Becca was very rude and unhelpful, offering a refund next time I visited instead of apologizing for the mistake. This kind of service is unacceptable and shows that the staff need better training. I will be sending my feedback to the head office to address these issues. It's no wonder the reviews on TripAdvisor are not positive.
I went in here not long before they closed to buy 2 cakes , I wish I hadn’t bothered that staff in this branch are awful. I asked about one of the cakes if the main part of the cake was just sponge and she replied “er yeah I think so..” well that’s helpful! why didn’t she just check with another member of staff I was the only customer in the shop! Then when she gave me my change she shirt changed me , it was only 5pence ,I couldn’t be bothered saying anything so I just left it, but it just added to the bad experience. Then when I went to leave , I had a pram and a toddler with me i she stood behind the counter and watched me struggle to manouvre the door and keep hold of my toddler instead of just saying let me get the door for you like any decent person, she just watched on, like I say it wasn’t like they were busy cos I was the only one in there. A few times I’ve been in and it’s like the staff don’t want to be there they are so miserable and unfriendly , I feel like saying If it’s such a chore why don’t you get a job somewhere else? What really irritated me was on another occasion a very old gentleman was being served ,he passed the assistant his money and said “ thank you very much” and he paused to see her response she didn’t even look up from the till to acknowledge him I just thought how Ignorant can you get! I’ve had enough of the place they won’t be getting any more Custom from me the staff need some serious customer service training, my 3 year old has better manners.
The staff are good, very helpful for queries. Snacks are very good. The window display shows all the meats available for then larger snacks, sausage rolls a speciality.
