Delicious food and excellent service, left feeling very full and content. We even got given a complimentary balloon after they found out it was my Birthday which was a really nice touch, we will definitely be going back again!

I went to this pub recently for the first time and I have to say I was a little bit disappointed. We had the Christmas menu. The food was lovely even though potatoes were Burnt. The pigs in blankets did taste slightly funny and there seemed to be a lot of pickled red cabbage on the plate would have preferred the extra veg. I felt the courses were rushed as not even 5 minutes after finishing the next one seem to appear. We paid a deposit for 4. which we had said there may be someone else to come and order due to requirements but weren’t sure. It turned out they weren’t coming and had never given their food order to the pub. Which we thought we’d then get that money taken off with the other 3 but we were told no that’s there policy as they had to order in food even though they never even had an order for this person. I did phone up and spoke with someone called Danielle who told me she wasn’t sure would have to speak with her manager and phone me back. I never received any phone call back. I did feel like some of the staff came across slightly childish to one another. We were the last people in the pub as everyone had gone by like 9:30 and you could tell they just wanted us out so they could close. They had all taken them selfs off to the other end of the bar to eat there pizza that they had ordered and delivered to them leaving no one on the bar near to us if we wanted another drink. When paying, staff just kept saying about the deposit and that was the rules and what the manager had said. Due to this experience I probably wouldn’t return.

Perfect service, lovely staff. Our meals were great and no complaints at all just a tad over priced but we understand that as it's tough in pubs/hospitality everywhere. Thank you and we'll definitely return!

I went to this pub recently and had the steak pie. There were two firsts for me I have never been out for dinner and been so hungry after a meal, that I had to cook something when I got home. And I have also never before paid £15.50 for 2 spoonfuls of mash, a small spoonful of peas and a spoonful of braised steak (the pie pastry was so hard, it was in edible). I was with a group of people, so didn't like to complain. But with hindsight I really should have done, because it was dreadful. When paying, staff and landlady weren't interested in any feedback. Absolutely terrible and a rip off. Never again.
