Bidra med feedbackMy first ever review on here ! I don’t normally write reviews but this little gem of a place needs a mention! Lovely warm welcome by the owner and her small team, met with proper coffee and a superb lunch I had Welsh rarebit and my friend had the poached eggs on toast both done to perfection! I don’t even like coleslaw, but decided to try it after my friend said how nice it is it didn’t disappoint, you can tell it’s all freshly made by the big give away of them making everything in front of you fresh to order. We took home some scones and tray bakes for our families they went down an absolute treat! Apologies for the gushing first post, but when you find somewhere that’s as welcoming, and great food, you want to support them, especially with it being an independent business.
Lovely cafe, excellent food, homemade cakes and food is faultless.great service.enjoyed my lunch with niece, nephew and husband.we will be back.
Had the afternoon tea for my birthday with my daughter and I have to say this was the BEST Afternoon Tea. Everything was prefect and well worth the money and more. We arrived early than our booking which was not a problem. The tea is delicious and the extra pot of water is fab. The sandwiches were really good and plenty of filling. The homemade quiche was amazing and filling. The scones and cakes OMG the best ever, Wendy is so talented in her baking skills. We had to take home cakes as we was so full. Love the china tea sets and the setting. Enjoyed the setting and the friendly other dinners who interact with you. Staff amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and they chat with you making you feel at easy and welcomed. We had such a lovely afternoon and felt totally spoilt. We will come back as everything is fresh, homemade and totally delicious
I regularly call in at Pastimes of Goostrey for some lunch when out riding my bike. There is always a warm welcome when I arrive and the atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful. The food is always excellent and I just love the Sultana and Ginger Flapjack. Coffee is great too. I highly recommend you call in if you are passing by.
Very poor quality. It"s obviously popular with locals. But if you are looking good quality well prepared food look elsewhere. It's just cheap bread, big tubs of Costco or similar coleslaw, literally spooned out on the counter in full view. What tasted like tubs bought tuna mix. Dried salad. The cakes are even worse, dried up slabs, probably cooked before Xmas. Went there after a visit to Jodrell, somewhere close by. The waitress was really pleasant but just my honest opinion to help others. We did not complain at time as with our son and we just wanted to get it over and done with and chalk it up to making a bad choice.
