Amans - Cheshire East

The chicken tikka bhuna was unappetizing, it did not resemble a traditional bhuna dish at all. It appeared to be a bowl of onions and broth with rubbery chicken. The vegetable rice was like plain rice with canned vegetables. The bread and bhaji were dry and lacking in flavor. The lamb dish was oily, fatty, and lacked any distinct flavors. It seems like the chefs rush through preparing the food without putting any effort into it. I would not return even if the meal was free. It is best to avoid this restaurant if possible.

We went to Amans for an early dinner with our family. The menu had a good variety without being too overwhelming. The staff was very attentive and provided prompt service. All the dishes were served together and tasted delicious. We will definitely be returning.

As you can see we have eaten at Amans previously and our latest visit was just as good. We always enjoy the food and the staff are very welcoming and accommodating. They even remember my drinks order!!! Love their Peshwari Murgh

My husband and I had a very disappointing meal at this restaurant. The food lacked flavor and my dish wasn't even hot or spicy. We ordered chicken chat on puree to start, but the chicken had no taste and the puree was soggy and rubbery. Our main courses were just as bad, with even the rice being cold and clumpy. We would have said something if we were alone, but we didn't want to ruin the evening with our friends. Later, we found out they felt the same about their meals. Honestly, if we knew beforehand, we wouldn't have paid the expensive bill.

Food average, service a bit of a shock. Asked for glass of water with ice lemon. No citrus fruits, not done them since Covid. From the kitchen maybe? No, separate department, think they use juice. We wanted to order poppadoms first as the drinks arrived no, only if you’re ready to order main course too. Can’t you be flexible? No, I only take the whole order together. Even if we decide to go elsewhere? Up to you. Sorry Amans, if you really are prepared to see 4 customers walk out rather than take a poppadom order separately you need to take a long , hard look at yourself. Spoiled the whole experience.
