Smarts Takeaway - Cherwell

Popped in on the way home from a function for a bag of chips. Wasn't especially late and we only live around the corner. When we got home we found they were soggy and not especially warm. We ate a few but threw the rest...away. Pretty tasteless and certainly not enjoyable. Staff didn't seem bothered to see us either.

I recently tried some of the best fish and chips I've had in a while. The batter was nice and crispy without being greasy. It was great value for a takeout meal. I was lucky to stumble upon this gem of a find!

I was in the area for work when my team invited me to join them for lunch as a team building exercise. The chips were delicious and the small portion size was more than enough.

We used to frequent Smarts in Kidkington for a quick fish and chip meal for many years, but now that our family has moved out, it had been a while since our last visit. We recently stopped by on our way home due to being stuck in traffic and running short on time to cook dinner. We ordered one fish and small chips, along with a large sausage. Despite reminding them that we had ordered a small portion to share, they continued piling on the chips. When we arrived home about 10 minutes later, my other half had warmed up plates in the oven. Unfortunately, the fish was overly oily and the chips were greasy and soggy. Most of the food ended up in the trash. It was disappointing to see the decline in quality at this establishment. We will not be returning in the future. It's a shame, as it used to be so convenient. We will opt for something from the freezer instead of wasting our money here. It appears that the staff may have changed, which could explain the decline in the quality of food.

Stopped here for a quick bag of fish and chips. There was a queue which was a good sign of the quality. I was not disappointed,and with a curry sauce it was a tasty snack.
