Oaks Coffe Shop - Cherwell

This is a really nice little coffee shop but the afternoon tea is such a let down. The bread was crusty like it had been left out, 4 tiny finger sandwiches per person. There was plenty of cake and lots of variety but the hair in one slice was not ok. Only tea included, I had to pay extra for the black coffee even though I wasn’t having tea. £15 per person was way overpriced for what we were served. Next time I’ll go to M&S. The staff were nice and the cake tasty, but won’t be going again.

The food at this restaurant was terrible and expensive. I ordered a sandwich, but it was made with the crust of the loaf. I sent it back and the replacement sandwich was improperly cut, causing all the cheese to fall out because there was no butter on the bread. The service was equally disappointing, as the staff had a terrible attitude. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The menu at this restaurant is quite limited, so we decided to order jacket potatoes. Unfortunately, the tuna mayonnaise filling had very little mayo and was quite dry. There was also no butter on the potato. The potato with cheese and beans was slightly better, but the beans were cheap and hard. The only saving grace was the cake, which tasted similar to a Betty Crocker mix I make at home. Despite the convenience of living just 5 minutes away, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Beautiful food lovely cakes and sandwiches. Cannot eat dairy and this was accomodated without an issue. Last minute change in weather and we collected our order again no problem at all would highly revommend. Staff all very friendly and very good value for money. Thank you for making our anniversary very special

Very disappointed by the lunch we 've had today. We both had jacket potato with filling of choice. The board said 'with salad garnish '. Well it came with a tiny amount of 'greenery ' and some small pieces of diced pepper. No tomato, no cue!!? It looked at best 'miserable ' on the plate and I would have been embarrassed to have charged anybody £6.95 (each) for that. In addition we asked for the table to be wiped, which was done by a very nice young lady (she 's probably the saving grace of the whole place). The table was filthy. It was a monday lunchtime visit and so I 'm sure hadn 't been done since the weekend trade. Won 't be going back.
