Hôtel La Régence

Stayed for 1 night on a business trip. The room I had was located on the front and had a view of the bay which was lovely. The room was very large, the bed was enormous and very comfy. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening, I have to say the food was fantastic, the service was quick and the staff very friendly. The hotel has a public car park at the rear which holds about 100 cars. We arrived about 6pm an parking was free through to 9am the next morning which was ideal as this is when we departed.

Restaurant is terrible. We had to wait an hour and a half for just a main course, many things were not available. When the food finally arrived the meat was tough and the mussles were just filled with sand. This was on a monday evening, not even a busy night. It looks nice, but service and food are just bad.

Overpriced property. Wifii is onlt available down stairs on the restaurant. Breakfast starts at 9am

Excellent little boutique hotel. Need to come back here without the kids, enjoy the restaurant and more of Cherbourg

Obnoxiously rude, pig ignorant and unhelpful staff. Hotel is okay, room was old and dated and with no lift/elevator, if you have kids and/or luggage, it’s a struggle to get to your room. The worst thing about this hotel is the staff. No matter what you ask them for, it’s met with a huh or a tut of some sort. If you don’t like working in the service industry, LEAVE. Do yourself a favour, book elsewhere.
