Hotel is impressive. The bar is like any Chennai bar as far as liqour/spirits is concerned. strong beer that tastes like water has been drawn from MARS the red planet, it burns. 8% alcohol in beer is not good.In chennai it appears they hv banned 5% beer , unless you can afford imported beer hoppers , sakura, German beers etc   and this imported beer is usually served in a few hotel bars Hudson in hotel Harrison, the bars in hotel Ranjit and a few other places.<br/ Food is good and as good as the bar opposite side of this hotel jefferies/hotel radha regent. <br/ one advantage here is those you are disappointed have  six   bars within a few minutes. hotel  radha regent alone has 3 bars.  <br/ all accet credit/debit card also, besides some native food joint. that may not be very impress quality wise.. <br/ <br/ hotel JP any connection to makers of JB scotch? is on the 100 ft road that blends typical Chennai roads with the fast track  road leading to chennai airports.<br/ 100 ft road is like Ph highway that run from west-east leading to Ambattur and Arakonam on the west near the naval base just 10 kilomteres distance   while on the opposite direction you will reach Chennai international Aiport all without any exit ramp, so yo got to be careful of fast trucks, taixs speeding at 70 kilometers. and the noise.<br/ Also the road has big concrete median made like great wall of china model -quite scary.  this alone occupies one middle port of the road. This kind of road planning geniuses you  find only in  India/ L &T. <br/ <br/ the road is 4 lanes and you hv big inter state buses, trucks, two Wheelers, carts all fighting for 'survival '.<br/ I just stood outside  this hotel on quite a few nights  watching this 'nightmarish ' massive haul of trafficand you will feel as if th e exodus movie is being filmed  here. something like a local 'hero ' leading frustated party goers out of the city beyond the east to Bangalore etc. or down south via tambarma to kerala /mysore etc. kst a scary site not for the normal person.<br/ .
