Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant, located approximately 15-20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, is definitely worth the journey. The atmosphere is casual with outdoor seating available for nice weather and heating for colder days. The food and service are excellent, with a great selection of wines and cocktails. We had a fantastic meal, including delicious peach pizza and calf's sweetbreads. Overall, there is nothing to fault here, although reservations are recommended due to the restaurant's popularity. While prices may not be cheap, the quality of the food and experience make it well worth it.
My father and I eagerly awaited the chance to have dinner together and it was well worth the wait. Dining at Les Fougères was a delightful experience, with its delicious food, warm and stylish atmosphere, and friendly service. Chef Yannick's amazing dishes lingered in our mouths long after the meal was over. We are grateful to the staff, especially to chef Yannick and Charlie, for their hard work in maintaining such a great restaurant.
We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant! The location was beautiful, with a lovely terrace overlooking the garden. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. Our waiter was professional and well-prepared. Our bill came to $313 (plus tip) for 2 appetizers, 4 main dishes, 3 desserts, 1 glass of wine, and 2 cocktails. The only downside was the lack of organization among the staff. We had to wait for a waiter to be free before being greeted upon arrival, and no one said goodbye or thanked us when we left. Additionally, one waitress spoke to us in French despite our preference for English. Overall, a slightly disappointing aspect of an otherwise fantastic meal at what is considered one of the best restaurants in the city.
An absolutely excellent restaurant in a beautiful environment and beautifully decorated. at a fairly cool evening we dined on the beautiful veranda with view over the garden and a nice warm heating over the head. the interior decor is also very beautiful bright wood...with Scandinavian optics. the greeting was beautiful and the service was perfect. it was an 80-dollar ride taxi ride from the center ottawa and good, it is worth it. the food was from this world. I started with a mixed salad with perfectly boiled lardons and local goat cheese. then I had duck jam served on rösti kartoffel, more goat cheese and a cranberry pot – super! my wife had gnudi with a butternut queee and a broccoli salad. to dessert I had a pumpkin and my wife had a rumbaba. good choice of crying on the glass.
Wife and I ate here to celebrate our seventh anniversary. The food and atmosphere was great, the only knock would be it was very hard to hear/understand our waiter. We’d visit again.
