John's Pizza - Chelsea

Pretty sure I left a previous positive review because me and my roommate come here once a week. Always tip. Flew back into Boston and called in for delivery to enjoy being back. Guy starts off asking if I really want it due to the wait lol. I said yes. He says he can make it now but do I really want to wait? I say yes again and he starts talking to someone. Comes back and says, again, do I really want to wait an hour for a pizza…. Man bye! Just say you don’t want to take my order! I’ll gladly go to the dozen other shops here.

I've been eating here for almost 35 years, its always been a solid place to get something good to eat.

John's was a good NY-style pizza with nice service, classic pizza shop atmosphere, and quick pizza. In and out. The pizza was fairly generic in flavor and structure, but also hits the spot if you just want a casual pizza on the fly. The toppings and cheese kind of fall off, and I'd suggest to eat it pretty soon. Good for cravings and I'll be back :

I've moved to California. I've been here 4 years. I miss you guys so much! Can you deliver to LA? California pizza sucks!!

PROS: Food is delicious, great pizza, great sandwiches. Staff are super nice CONS: go pick your food up or doordash the food to you. Don't use their delivery. I've order for delivery 3 times now and it was either sent to the wrong address or arrived almost an hour+ late. Don't let this discourage you though the food is truly worth the drive there
