Yatzen - Chelmsford

We have purchased Chinese food from this restaurant many times always found it to be very good very reasonably priced. It is all freshly prepared to your requirements delivered within the hour. The only thing I have found is that they take a very long time to answer the phone ! !

I am a pensioner and ordered from these con men, lost my money, which I cant afford to do. No food and no refund, conning cowboys. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Strayed from our two regular Chinese takeaways as Yatzen was the only open. A very unusual mix of good and bad to report on Yatzen, firstly the flavours were outstanding. But a few things let them down. The satay chicken was so delicious but the chicken itself tasted re cooked to me. It may have been the crispiness meant for the dish and i am not use to it, but there was no mistaking the ribs. A full portion of gristle. Such a shame because again the flavour was outstanding. To be fair to Yatzen were quick to try and remedy this. I complained and they were very quick to send another portion. Unfortunately they sent me another portion of gristle with 2 small ribs on top, nowhere near acceptable.To sum up Yatzen chef can clearly cook, flavours amazing, but they are happy to give you a substandard product. I didnt like the noodles as much as my usual takeaways but that is personal choice. On the night i said i would never eat at Yatzen again but most of the flavours were so good i will give them another chance, but only one.

Awful! Used to use Yatzen quite regularly a few years ago , now I remember why I stopped! Ribs were all fat and gristle, no bone and an inch long. Chicken was tough and chewy, not good Yatzen, won’t use again !!

For many years, Yatzen has been our favorite Chinese restaurant in Woodham. However, our recent deliveries have been disappointing. The last two deliveries were incorrect and arrived two hours late, as they tried to combine our order with another customer's in the same neighborhood. Tonight, the calamari starter resembled dried, inedible onion rings, and the sweet and sour balls were soggy and unappetizing. Due to these ongoing issues with our deliveries and the declining quality of the food, we have decided not to order from Yatzen again.
