La Playa - CHELEM

Unbelievable food and beautiful sea views. Perfect for all types of groups or even for a romantic beach dinner. Definitely a place to return to Over and Over.

During our first visit to the northern part of Yucatan we discovered a small jewel restaurant in the town of Chelem, called La playa. It's just on the beach and views are amazing, but the best is eating. If you want, this is your place. Every day we had another court and it was fabulous. Chef Carlos always showed himself personally how it was. The best was a giant lobster tail with Veggies. I definitely recommend it especially if you are adventure and love to venture into new culture and its gastronomy.

Loved this place will be back ! Dead on the ocean ...sweet views; Great drinks seafood ... I had a bucket of sweet-cold camerones w/ multple dipping choices .... I think it 's Jose (owner? we met talked with ... Great chef-host... we all had an excellent late afternoon meal.

The best mahi mahi that I have ever had! Every trip to Chelem has to include a trip to this restaurant to see Carlos and he never disappoints! Thank you!

La comida no es muy elaborada, el ceviche que pedimos estaba saladísimo, no lo pudimos comer, la higiene muy cuestionable, los meseros desagradables y la verdad, en comparación con otros restaurantes de la zona, es bastante caro. Lo único bueno eran las vistas al mar.
