Bidra med feedbackA group of 13 cyclists on a hard 6-day drive through the alps, we were sent here as a rebooking by a hotel in saint firmin. we have made many such trips and stayed in many cheap hotels by the region. this place was the worst, and strangely the most expensive on this year's whole trip. the next analogy I can do is that this is the French equivalent of the worst Greek truckstop hotels. ah. one of our groups said they had better shelters in prison cells. I'm not sure it was a sweat. the rooms are tiny, grubby and do not have any toilets (oddly, they have bidets). the shower is the traditional handheld French style, striped on the naked minimum. no place to hang it, tiny shower. we were proud that the rooms had all the new mattresses. I could say how I clamped every one of the plastic tabs that were previously on the day, one after the other, by rolling on them and through the leaves. I am not sure whether the advantage that additional ventilation from the road....the autobahn opposite window was the extremely loud street noise worth the whole night. these seem less like rooms, and more like converted storage cabinets. the rooms were bad, were actually the high point. bar and restaurant. this place seems to lead from a small family. papa is dirty and chef (or at least wears to meat) in the kitchen, mom waits table, leads the bar/front writing, daughter is sweet and speaks with customers and helps and in the rule makes them hate the place a little less. dog and catze add charms to charm. the truckers who were in the night were mostly enthusiastic about ricard. we all drank a bit of the cash before dinner and paid before location for each drink (which is later relevant). because we travel with only one support car, we can only go to places where we stay. this place is close to nothing, so we had to eat as a group in the attached restaurant. here too we have often done this in many hotels. we can rely on the owner's decisions to feed cyclists who burn over 4000 calories per day. our evening meal consisted of an unnoticed charcuterie, followed by the strangest main course of all time. the salate was preferred in a dressur consisting of about 15% olive oil, 5% edgy and 80% raw garlic. I like a spicy salad, but that was ridiculous. most of our group could not eat it at all. this was accompanied by what we were told was a regional speciality that I would best describe how deep roasted ravioli with 2 sorts of cheese-based filling. oddly, there was no other protein in dinner. we ordered a few bottles of “better” wein, as some in the group simply don’t like box wein anymore. nothing we were served (or that was served on the buffet in the main room) resembled the beautiful aubergine in the picture. not quite enough that we all went into bed. as a final insult we were told the next day that despite the fact that the dinge before negotiated price wise (at a ridiculous 50 euro per person, double occupancy so 100 euro per squalid room), that due to all the additional crappy beer and a few bottles more real wee that we had to pay an obscene 120 euro per room. because we had a trip to get under the ones, we did not argue and simply paid and set that and have escaped as soon as possible from this place. about the level of a f1 hotel, but with a squalid bar / restaurant, plus a last minute to boot. at least with the f1 they get a square deal at 33 euro a room double occupancy. avoid them if possible.
This week we booked a triple room : 45 euros breakfast included ! comfortable bedding breakfast served 7H30 flawless and dinner at 13 euros90 perfect (compound, frite and rumsteak and small delicious home dessert)near the road !!! It's a small flat, but the welcome of the hoteliere and his daughter make us forget this little inconvenience. located 30 minutes from the village of the chapel in valgaudemar and the sanctuary our lady is perfect for a weekend.
Very good memories of our stop at bacchus. The bosses are kind and know how to receive. the kitchen is simple and good and the rooms are relaxing. Go!
I don't understand the negative comments I read. The kitchen is simple but excellent and the hygiene has done well. The bosses are coming and every time we came, it has always been a good time. The rooms are simple but clean, and the excellent bedding. Finally, the price quality ratio is very suitable. So yes, it's not the "fine" but a friendly place, without chichis, with a fresh food kitchen.Christine et alex, thank you:-)
Indeed I ate at the restaurant the bacchus has warmed, wanting to put our appreciation I have made my husband notice the mensonger reviews about the keeping of the establishment as well as the quality of the meal (which is entirely prepared in front of the guests since the kitchen is open. I invite all people to come and enjoy a healthy and tasteful cuisine you will not be disappointed well on the contrary. I think that the words held are ordered by the competitors neighbors of the valley so as to slow down the growth of the restaurant the bacchus that makes us eat for 13€50 wines included. as the manager of 50 percent happy customer told me with a lot of philosophy and fifty percent of people who are less do hundred percent advertising. I wish a lot of courage to this manager ( bacchus) who is in the middle of a crab basket
