We recently held the first event in our Wine War series which commemorated the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice signing. In an effort to provide an authentic experience for our honored guests--including Medal of Honor recipient Col. Ralph Puckett, Jr., his wife, Gov. Lee, and a number of other state and local representatives--we sought out Zaya 1943 for catering. From the moment planning began, Shawn, Serena, and the Kal family poured themselves into creating an unforgettable experience. During the event, Zaya's attention to detail was impeccable. The presentation of each dish was a work of art which showcased the team's dedication to creating an immersive dining experience.Dinner was exceptional, and the service throughout the night was high-level. The team behind this catering service was professional, attentive, and passionate about sharing their love for Korean cuisine. Shawn even took time to explain each dish and its history to our guests before dinner began. As an institution that values education, we appreciated this addition.Thank you, Zaya 1943, for helping us create a unique experience for our guests!
From the food to the service to the atmosphere, this was an amazing experience. This was my second time coming here and I loved it just as much as the last time. The staff were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and replenished our drinks. Hunter was awesome as he helped us with our meal and talked to us and made us feel welcome. I would recommend Zaya to anyone, it is definitely worth it.
INCREDIBLE dining experience!! Very attentive servers, Wazir and Abel were top tier. Food was incredible- Definitely a splurge, but oh-so worth it. The Banchan were definitely a stand out- Don’t be afraid to branch out from the usual cabbage kimchi. The Glazed Potatoes and the Radish Kimchi were top tier. I usually live in New York and I’m in Chattanooga for the summer, and this place easily beats my normal haunts in the Big Apple. Get the Marinated Short Rib and the NY Strip if you’re a meat eater, but if there’s a vegetarian in your party, fear not. There are a few bibimbap and appetizer options for them (moreso for pescatarians).
This is hands down the best steak I have ever eaten in my entire life. The service is amazing and the Wagyu is AMAZING it melts in your mouth and taste so amazing!! I would recommend this place to everyone if you’re looking for an amazing atmosphere and amazing food this is the place to go!!! 100/10 definitely will go back.
