Bidra med feedbackWe got the tavern shrimp appetizer and it was great, filling enough to be an entrée honestly...so good i almost didn 't get a picture before it was gone! I got the philly with onion rings and it was good too! The kids got mac-n-chz which was easy macbasically but for $6 i guess it was ok (they didn 't complain lol). My husband ordered the brisket nachos and we were a littledisappointed with the fact that the brisket was tiny cubes rather than pulled or shredded and there wasn 't very many pieceseither. We also shared the brownie for dessert (not pictured bc it was devoured) and it was super rich, soft, warm and yummy yumyum! Our server was nice but i did notice that another one of her tables ran her like crazy, which in turn took her from beingmore attentive to us. Overall we enjoyed it and will be back i am sure! We also learned that it is owned by the same mike thatowns the hole in the wall near our house in red bank that we frequent and the smokehouse near st elmo that we also love! I guessit 's safe to say we are mike fans????

She checked in with us right after the food came but didn?t come back again after we tried it and until we had beensitting with empty plates for about 10 minutes. We just didn?t see her much and leif kept wondering where she was going andwhere she was because she wasn?t in the restaurant ???? She did not prebuss our plates until the check came. If something hadbeen wrong with our food (there was) there wouldn?t have been any opportunity to fix it until everyone else was done eating atthe table. Drink refills: 6. She refilled Leif?s water twice and he didn?t have water his whole meal because she didn?t comeback after the food was first served until way after we were done eating. Ethan and I had to ask had the end as well for arefill. She had only offered refills once near the beginning. Checked in after food came: 10 (right away) Checked in after wetried our food. 0. She didnt Hostess: 2 We were not greeted when we came in and there were two hostesses at the hostessstand. I moved up a little and finally asked how long the wait would be for 4. She said 20-25 min so I went ahead and put ourname on the list and she asked inside or outside I stood inside and waited and the rest of my family stood outside. There is nowhere to sit to wait either in or outside and there is very little room to stand inside. I do understand how seating works andthat in order to space them out and not double seat a server they can?t all be sat at once. The hostess sat two parties of thesame size who put their name on the wait and came in after we didn?t had been waiting about 30 min at this point. She sat usthen beside a large party of young women having a baby shower. They were drinking mimosas and were being very loud. There werefive open booths on the other side of the restaurant (they had been open the whole time we waited
Great environment, the inside of the restaurant is really nice. The patio has 9 tables with umbrellas and a roll up door access to the inside. The Brisket nachos are huge and taste great. I tried the Impossible Burger that I have been hearing about but notsure who had it. I really liked it and I am not leaning vegetarian or vegan. The onion rings were really good with a smallamount of course salt, just right. The bread pudding and the turtle cheesecake were fantastic. Great atmosphere! We recentlyhad their Macaroni and Cheese and it was fantastic. You can add chicken or shrimp to that as well.
We sat fast. Had the best waitress, so the service was A1. We got our food fast and the shrimps were aaahhmaazzinngg! Let's go back next time!
Feel nice pub/bar grill. The staff was super friendly. The fried pimples are a MUST. My wife got the fish and chips and was super impressed. It's kind of hard to find a place to get it right sometimes, but loved what she got from here. I ordered the Gouda Marmeladeburger and was not disappointed. The savory flavors come along with a neat little bow as soon as you hit the bacon jam above. Juicy and cooked exactly as I asked. And if you get riders, pay the additional dollar for the garlic parmesan, it is worth it.
