On July 31, The Dining Divas had the pleasure to eat in Vigola on Georgia Avenue in Chattanooga. There were 12 ladies. Vigola specializes in wine and oysters. You have an extensive selection of both. The beautiful place is long, elegant and cool, with a long bar for seating and tables. Our waiter, Patrick, was friendly and accommodating. The assistant, Lexy, helped to serve and was also kind and helpful. The General Manager Justin visited the table to meet all our needs. We sat immediately and water was delivered immediately to all dinners. There was a mess with the order when the wine list was not provided and the food orders were taken before the drinks orders when several ladies wanted to taste wine or order soft drinks. Wine menus were quickly made available and beverage orders were taken after food orders, but were immediately released. The wine was delicious and the Guss was generous. Everyone was very happy with his excellent food, which was nicely prepared. The lobster bisque was wonderful. Vigola has been open for over a year. If you haven't tried this wonderful new restaurant, you're a treat. Lunch hours are 11-2:30; dinner service starts at 4. There are nightly happy hours as well as a ladies' night (Monday), and a men's night (Tuesday) with half-priced wine.
This little hole in the wall was a shade of quality! they have amazing oysters and their meat and cheeseboards were one of the best of my fiance and I have ever tried. the server was very knowledgeable about the wine selection. we will definitely come back.
The panini and soup is really delicious. Nice place to eat with good service. I'll be back to taste the dinner and the wines.
We stopped in for lunch on a visit to Chattenooga and so glad we did! We had fresh oysters, a delicious panini, and they offered gluten free bread! Lydia, the bartender and our server, was great! She was so friendly, attentive and accomodating, answering all our questions and making recommendations. Drew, the chef, came out of the kitchen to make sure we were happy with our food. A great experience!
