Nickerson Fish Lobster - Chatham

GREAT food and atmosphere for casual / picnic table restaurants and views. Also a great learning experience for children who come to see boats with the days catch! Definitely add it to your Chatham To Do list.

In summer, this place is busy quickly. The parking lot is definitely not large enough for popularity, so we go specifically to low season. If you cannot wait until less busy times try to remember the first order of the company, the fisherman and the seafood industry is. Tourists pass to be a sidekick as it was not originally conceived as a tourist attraction. However, you have tourists parking, clean sinks and a seafood snack, where you can find fresh lobster rolls and more directly from the boat. There is a view deck where you can observe the unloading of the fresh catch first. But you will not be the only ones, gulls and harbour seals are lazy and not shy. Seals come directly to the boats that are looking for scrap and gulls, you can even handle some of their own scraps walking You do not, if you see the industrial view of unloading dead seafood on elevators and loading in freezers, because you see this most likely.

A bit expensive, but the food is great. My friend and I share a fish and chips and it was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and the pumice were perfection. You take your cell number and text you when your food is ready, so we went the steps to see the boats and seals nearby. Some of the seals swim right up to the pier and are so playful in nature. A great stop when you're in the area.

Parking is based on happiness and the rooms are slim. But once parked it is free to go down some fresh boiled seafood, climb the stairs or take the strange elevator to the view to get amazing photos, see a ton of seals and watch the famous fish dumping. This is a fantastic stop, whether you kill 10 minutes or an hour and half. It should be seen at least once if you haven't been there yet.

The freshest fried clams I've ever had! Melt in your mouth! You order and can sit outside at a picnic table or take home. Parking is tough but we'll worth the trouble Good basic variety of seafood. Nice view! Will return!
