A group of us visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration and we were very disappointed with the experience. It wasn't the service that let us down, but rather the quality of the food. The main dishes appeared to have been reheated in a microwave instead of cooked fresh. The chicken was tough and dry, while the beef burger was burnt with solid, dark brown cheese on top. The desserts were equally disappointing, especially the bannoffee pie that had a rotten strawberry as a garnish. When we brought this to the attention of the waitress, she took it to the kitchen where the chef laughed and told her to apologize on his behalf. Despite pointing out the issues at the end of the meal, we were met with more laughter from the kitchen staff and only offered two drinks taken off the bill as compensation. Overall, the food was awful, the kitchen staff were rude, and the experience was unsatisfactory for our group.

This charming small pub has friendly staff, delicious food, and a beautiful garden for children. It is definitely worth a visit.
