le Vuipay - Chatel-St-Denis

Excellent fondue, beautiful view. not willing to find or get, but the effort worth. not a big place, but still good for families or business.

If you want to spend a day in the snow in the middle of nowhere, just drive to le vuipay, a 1-hour climb from les paccots, in their snowboots! the lookout is stunning from above and the fondue, cream macaroni and raclette are...homemade, typical and absolutely delicious! you can sleep. ski, or go down!

Easy, but great food. while we were there, the local farmers sang local borrowers in their dialect.

Sublime environment throughout the year and a stunning panorama. all foods are produced locally or in the house. delicious typical dishes fondue, cheese on toast, roestis and excellent wines. also large portions and half portions are available. attentive service and super atmosphere. a super running. alpage restaurant.

I went there three times in winter. I love the high up (1 hour snowshoeing as the sun goes down. The menues are typical swiss (Fondue, Raclette, Croute au Fromage), the fun then starts when you go down, ans you can rend (5 CHF) (very)small...glides. DO ABSOLUTELY take headlamps for everyone, good gloves, and a pac pack where you can store absolutely all your belonging. The glide back down is quite fun, but does feel relatively dangerous! The glides could and should be bigger, and of better quality!!
