Le Hors Piste - Châtel

Lovely owner, amazing burgers, good drinks and a nice little outdoor seating area in the middle of the village which makes for a nice atmosphere.

We’ve already eaten twice at this restaurant this week, and come back every year we visit Chatel. It is a small, cosy place, very welcoming and serves excellent food. We particularly enjoyed the chilli burger with guacamole and home made chips. You do need to...make a reservation, but don’t worry about phoning ahead (as I do the owner is English (I think) and the French staff speak excellent English. I was pleased to see they check the COVID passes.

Excellent service, great staff and very nice hostess! Great pizza's and burgers. Sticky toffee cake and the banana/coconut pizza were fantastic. Highly recommended

Le Hors Piste is a real gem.I have eaten here twice now this season and I have to say it is one of the best meals I have had in Chatel, ever!The welcome, the service, the food and the ambience were all excellent and the whole experience showed great professionalism in the way the place is run.It's not a big place but this just adds to the cosy atmosphere and great buzz in the bar area where we had a great laugh with locals and visitors before going through for dinner. It just seemed like everyone knew each other and us too even though we were just visiting!It's obvious that all the ingredients in the dishes are fresh and the chef seems to have a great sense of adventure in the selection of meals on offer.Not one of our party of seven could fault the food, the service or the range of drinks available.This may sound like a glowing review - it's intended to be and well deserved.Highly recommended!
