Hama Sushi - Chatan 日本

I have gone here several times and never had any bad meals. The people have always been sweet and fast to get you drinks and service. The food can take some time to come out but has never let me down. They can support larger groups in the back to give you a little more privacy and room. This place can be a great place for dates or with the family.

This is the best sushi in the area. It is all made by Yoshi and one other Itamaee, so if it is busy your food will take longer just like any other restaurant. However we came on a weekday evening and service was fast. It's not as cheap as Sushiro or Kami (obviously), but the quantity is very respectable for the price especially considering the high quality.

Fabulous and famous local sushi spot! This place has been visited by everyone from athletes to Presidents and celebrities. Super cute and cozy with pictures and nicknacks everywhere. Wonderful food. I recommend the scallops and the sashimi in particular. Great staff, make sure you have some time to enjoy the charming local fixture!

This place has really lost its way. This used to be the goto spot for sushi in the late 90s to early 2000s, but it just isn’t the same. Service is slow, quality could be better, and it seems to have lost the passion that made it so special in the past. I think there are better places to visit while in Okinawa for sushi. It’s hard to hear and as much as I want to love it like I used to, I was very disappointed on two separate visits this past year.

What an amazing place! The decor and ambiance is outstanding, but the food is what takes it over the top. The Chef and staff are outstanding, very meticulous in everything they do. Great spot to come and have the most fresh and amazing sushi. Go and enjoy the experience, you won’t be disappointed.
