Le Mughal - Chartres

No menu available. overpriced small portions. asked for something vegetarian or vegan, as I am lactose intolerant, literally got some cockerbsen, rice and gurke with tomatoes. paid for two nets, and drinks. the staff was friendly, but seemed incapable. was very chaotic. the waiter lost the acknowledgement, we wanted to tell him what we had ordered. would not recommend.

We are looking for decent Indian subcontinental cooking, since we regularly started to visit france. this cozy, unpretentious little restaurant, which was a manifestation in the night of ammad. the menu is not extensive and the drinks are what I describe as...town prices, but the aromes we have encountered were more than acceptable, as it is frankly where seasoned are not well tolerated. as a good test of this type of operation my wife had the butter huh, which in this case had a light tomat base and I enjoyed the bhun biryani, which followed a common bhaji. this was made in a previously seen way, where the floured twill pieces are more fritted than ball style. perfectly served with choke pick, rita and tamarinde and banan pick. the biriyani was very tenderly spiced and served as expected with a side of the herbal curry. ammad spoke in detail about the restaurant that is in a position to wipe our requirements, which will be our request on our next visit, which is unfortunately removed. our Sunday night visit was not reserved, but we arrived shortly after the opening and found it a third full, not much later, of a crowded group happy after their LeMans race. I would recommend this restaurant thoroughly, but it was intended that phone problems only meant cash. be sure and book them in advance.

Excellent food, very friendly, nice atmosphere, great music in the background. For the benefit of tourists, good English spoken, very fine cuisine indeed!

An enjoyable meal in an old school curry house (maison de la curry Brightly coloured paper and jewelled cloths created a charming Indian atmosphere long since considered naff in UK but I still like it and the sitar music mellow in the background. The food...was tasty and the set meal was good value. The beers were unfortunately Not! At each for Indian and each for a small bottle I'd advise to stick with water! The staff were polite and helpful and would interject with English if one's French is failing. It does get busy so perhaps best to book ahead if you can.

In this restaurant seemed so many places in chartres to be closed. we were glad we did. it was warm and cozy and the dame, who cheated the place, was lovely. we live in a very Asian antidote of london so that are used to very. good currys le mughal not disappointed. the cheese naan was a delicious surprise. we also met the chef who was very delightful and clearly took great pride in his kitchen. definitely recommend.
