Magic Wok - Charlottetown

We recently celebrated a birthday and wanted to have a simple meal that would cater to all age groups, from seniors to young children. The Magic Wok is conveniently located not far from my house. After reading some reviews, I was a bit worried, but then I realized that the latest review was back in 2016 and the Magic Wok was still open for business. I figured that if they were able to survive the challenges of the past year, their food quality must have improved rather than declined. And I was right - I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious meal we had. The shrimp dumplings were cooked to perfection, the spare ribs were juicy and flavorful, the sweet and sour chicken balls were tender with a crispy golden crust, and the fried rice was excellent. This restaurant has clearly improved significantly since 2016 and is now a hidden gem.

I discovered a clothespin in my food. The chef claimed it was from the delivery driver. The woman mentioned the absence of the manager. Service was awful for a $60 meal. Avoid this place as it poses a potential health risk.

The buffet at this restaurant was wonderful! It was always fully stocked with fresh and delicious dishes. They offered a wide range of both Canadian Chinese and Canadian cuisine options, such as chicken fried rice, egg rolls, sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Donair egg rolls, and French fries.

The food was cold and very bland. The worst Chinese food we've ever had. Not much of a choice. The service wasn't too bad. Very expensive for the quality of the buffet. Will never eat there again.

My dad and I went into here over the Christmas holidays Right at 5 pm for the dinner buffet as we were shopping that day didn't feel like cooking We were the only ones in the restaurant kinda indicated what we were in for The...experience if I could give it a 0 I would Tasteless,cold,bland very pricy meal Alot of the food had been in the steam table for God knows how long The server was useless stood and talked to a kitchen guy. Through the whole meal my pop was empty by the time she came back I was done of the meal. This was by far the worst Chinese food meal I have ever had the owner should be ashamed he's serving such poor quality food. As a senior trip advisor reviewer my recommendation Do not go here!!!!
