Pineapples Thai Kitchen

Short rib yellow curry is an absolute delight (I had it on a previous visit before reviews could be posted on this restaurant). They can definitely make the dishes insanely spicy if desired. Possibly the best Thai food in Charlottesville!

The appetizer was decent but the other 2 dishes were pretty disappointing... The server tossed the menus in the middle of the table. He wasn't happy and reluctant when we asked to change the table he offered first. It was too sunny by the window and it was a hot day. There were only 2 tables occupied at the time. Really?

We sat indoors to avoid the bugs outside on the patio but ended up having the bugs inside because of the constant door opening. Other than that, I liked the vibe. They had a flower wall, which was pretty. The food was good overall (the fried rice was kind of plain but I loved the spring rolls) and the employees were polite and professional.

It was our second time here. Both times the food was served really fast and the restaurant is clean and a great atmosphere. I ordered a seafood dish that was extra spicy the first time and it was really spicy. I liked it a lot. The second time I ordered the pork belly stir fry. The dish was super greasy and while most of the other components of the dish had a well-balanced taste, the pork belly itself was very very salty.

My husband I tried this place last night for the first time. We agreed that the food and service is better than any other Thai restaurant in the area. The servers were very friendly, the food came out quickly and it was delicious.
